Van Wickle Ventures is powered by its Student Associates. Joining VWV gives you the opportunity to meet phenomenal founders, evaluate exciting companies, and learn about venture through making real investments with real money.

After joining the fund, you undergo extensive training and learn what it means to be a great venture capitalist through the Group Independent Study Project, a credited class we teach on VC featuring guest speakers, case studies and foundational readings. You will begin to source opportunities, learning how to engage with great founders and find the “new new thing”. Due diligence on promising opportunities will teach you how to analyze companies from the ground up and form theses where products and markets are headed in the next decade and beyond.

VWV welcomes undergrads (freshmen through juniors) as well as graduate students not in their final year – no prior experience required (we mean it). There is truly no archetype of what we are looking for, other than ambitious and deeply curious people hungry to learn everything there is to know about venture, startups, and technology.
