Bailing Hou

Bailing is a freshman from Seattle concentrating in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. As the President of his high school math club, Bailing led the organization of an applicational math contest for local middle school students, and at Brown, he is part of the Brown University Math Olympiad (BrUMO) organizers team to host Brown’s first-ever math competition for high school students. Bailing also participates in competitive Rubik’s Cube speedsolving, with 3 Canadian national records and a career-high world rank of 22. In his free time, Bailing loves playing tennis with his friends or practicing piano at Lindemann and Steinert.
